“ A...W...E...S...O...M...E... HIGHEST MARKS! I have been going here for years and have no idea why I don't have a review here. The food here is just amazing! Jerked salmon, jerked pork, oxtail! This is one of those places that words can't do justice...you just need to go and experience the food yourself. This place is better than the food I had in Jamaica...BY FAR! So glad to see they are still around after the craziness that has been the past 2 years...planning to go back regularly as usual! Happy Eating! ”
“ First time trying Jamaican food so I have nothing to compare to but this was delicious. I really enjoyed the snapper with the pickled onions. The curried goat was very subtle with a kick at the end. Also I was very excited to get a bottled diet coke instead of a can. Everything was packaged well and delivery was quick. I would definitely order from here again ”
“ This is not a restaurant. Very sad. It's some sort of delivery service of different restaurants and delivery system. You order through doordash, uber eats, etc and you can pick up here? Don't even try to come since it is near a freeway entrance and the cars are backed up for the whole block. There's guys hanging around looking at their phone. There's two ipads to order or check your order. It's weird. Behind the counter are packages of food. ”
“ Pre-covid times, my husband frequented Flavas in South City MULTIPLE times, and almost never brought home leftovers ! When we saw there was an outpost in the city , we had to get some takeout. On our list was : *jerk chicken & oxtail - $21 *Beef patties - $4 * Mac and cheese - $5 *Pineapple cake - $6 The jerk seasoning is sooo delicious ! It was definitely a hefty portion. The chicken was tender and juicy. I wasn't a fan of the oxtail as it was fatty but my husband loved it. The plate came with rice and beans, and plantains. The beef patties were my absolute favorite. Firstly they were massive , bigger than my fist. The pastry was crumbly and flaky and the beef was very tasty. The Mac and cheese , and the cake were both drier than expected - maybe we didn't get the best batch. I would definitely try the salmon next time - and wish I could buy trays of the beef patty ! ”
“ Curry goat. Ackee and salt fish. Real Reggae food with love. If you want the authentic Jamaican flavors here it is. Those are two favorite dishes anywhere but the others are great too, jerk pork ;) mhm ”
“ First time here and will not be my last . The food was great . I was honestly craving oxtails and yelped oxtails and it was first to pop up and I am so glad with my choice . All the food was flavorful. From oxtails to the jerked chicken and pork. ”
“ Ordered the jerk chicken for delivery. They take a while to prepare, around 45 min. The portion, especially the meat, is huge for the price, can definitely split into two meals. The plantains are the highlight of the meal, super sweet and fried to perfection. I also liked that the chicken wasn't too spicy. The rice and beans have a hint of coconut. ”
“ This place is my new go to spot for jerk chicken and oxtails! It's so legit and if you want to see the future of food delivery businesses, order take out from the Morris St location and pick it up yourself. It's truly a sight to see. The food is sooooo good! ”
